Venue Update

We are thrilled to announce that all 18 greens are once again BACK OPEN at Pakenham Golf Course!

It seems like just yesterday that GSM began the monumental task of revitalising what at the time was a severely degraded golf course, following Deep Creek Golf Club’s unfortunate closure in April 2023.

While time has flown by, the reality is that our grounds team has been working diligently since November, focusing on critical areas such as the fairways, rough, and greens. The efforts of our hard working maintenance contractors have certainly led to remarkable progress.

Significant investments in course improvements have been made, including the installation of five brand-new greens throughout the golf course. These works, in addition to a wide range of other renovations, have dramatically transformed the course’s condition, making it better than ever under GSM’s management.

Unfortunately, star weed is still present on a number of greens. We are currently conducting trial chemical treatments in non-played areas to address this problem, but it will take some time. Despite this, the remainder of the course is showing fantastic signs of improvement and is in much better condition compared to 12 months ago.

We also want to extend our gratitude for the tremendous support and assistance we have received from both the Cardinia Shire Council during this very challenging time.

Please note that competitions will remain on hold for the time being, however we hope to provide an update regarding resumption of casual competitions in the near future – stay tuned!

Driving Range 

The driving range at Pakenham continues to be a great success! Range users are enjoying our extended liquor license, which now allows for the consumption of alcohol sold from the clubhouse out on the driving range and the golf course.

The driving range is open to the public seven days a week, proudly welcoming both regular players and first-time golfers!

Please note that the last range balls are sold approximately 30 minutes before sunset. There’s no better place to come out and perfect your swing in a relaxed and enjoyable environment!

Bistro & Functions

Our team has received fantastic feedback on the Pakenham Golf Course Bistro’s reopening! We offer a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, complemented by a wide selection of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks (including tap beer and Canadian Club which are now available)!
